Construction Industry Ethics (In Class Portion)
Ethical behaviour is paramount in the construction industry. By maintaining high ethical standards, and being consistent in our practices, we thrive both personally and professionally. The Construction Industry Ethics course can help your employees navigate the ethical grey areas they face every day.
Part 1: Ethical Behaviour
• Connect personal experiences to the core principles of ethical behaviour
Part 2: Social Responsibility
• Explore how to be socially responsible, how to acquire social license, the value of social responsibility
Part 3: Ethical Decision Making
3A Risk assessment:
• Conduct a risk assessment and analyze its components
3B Decision making:
• Make decisions using an ethical framework
• Evaluate decisions from an ethical point of view
Part 4: Communication and Management
4A Code of Ethics communication:
• Communicate about ethics with the internal team and external company contacts
4B Taking action:
• Identify unethical behavior and take appropriate action
Who should attend – This course is intended for owner/clients, contractors, supervisors, project managers, etc. who must deal effectively and professionally with employees, sub-trades, owners, clients, engineers, employers, and the public.
CREDITS/CERTIFICATES This course will be mandatory to receive Gold Seal Certification. Earn one (1) Gold Seal credit.
It is recommended that learners complete the online course as a prerequisite for the classroom training.
