Training objectives include familiarizing attendees with aerial lifting device operation, provides an understanding of their obligations, the regulations that apply and the safe operation of these devices.
This course will introduce and explain the standards that fully support the implementation of Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA). This course will spread awareness and advance full participation of people with disabilities in all aspects. Specifically, it will serve as guide on how you and you employees can support the special needs of people with disabilities; encourage and welcome their involvement in their respective domains. Identify the accessibility standards for information and communications, employment, transportation and built environment and their compliance concerns.
Confined Space Awareness
Working in confined spaces is an everyday occurrence in many occupations. When these spaces are properly identified and assessed, entry plans are in place and the plans are followed, work performed within a confined space can be completed safely and efficiently.
Manager Due Diligence
Our Manager & Supervisor Due Diligence course will provide participants with an understanding of the responsibilities and reasonable steps to be taken for the protection of all workplace parties.
Having fire extinguishers strategically placed in your establishment is not a complete answer to fire safety. Your organization should have an internal system established to prevent and respond to man-made and natural emergencies.
Participants will learn about personal breathing apparatus, contingency planning and rescue methods used to assist victims of overexposure to H2S. Participants will learn to protect themselves first before they can help others. It is important that every oil and gas industry worker understand basic first aid measures including rescue breathing and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR).
This course will provide managers, supervisors, committee members and health and safety representatives with a proper foundation and understanding of accident causation and prevention.
Forklift & Lift Truck
Forklifts, or Lift Trucks are integral pieces of equipment used to move and handle material safely and efficiently in many environments. Their widespread use requires that individuals working with and around forklifts recognize hazards associated with the equipment and the environment in which they are operated.
This program is designed to ensure employers, management, and workers understand the hazards associated with uncontrolled energy and the proper methods of controlling that energy through a properly developed and implemented lockout program.
Manual Material Handling (MMH)
This course will explore common causes and controls of MSDs, and introduce the participant to safe working procedures in order to handle material in the workplace without injury.
Overuse and “wear and tear” injuries continue to be among the most costly work related injuries in industry today. These pains and strains can range from mild discomfort or lead to severe pain and disability. Our office ergonomics training program identifies the risk factors associated with poor ergonomic positioning but more importantly the controls necessary to prevent musculoskeletal disorders from occurring.
Transportation of Dangerous Goods
Everyday, thousands of TDG regulated products are handled, transported, and offered for transport throughout Canada. This online TDG training program will provide course participants with an understanding of the hazards and regulatory requirements associated with dangerous goods controlled products. This course is required for companies who ship by road and/or rail only.
WHMIS 2015 now has the best of both WHMIS training and GHS standards. Our course will help ensure that workers understand the hazards posed by chemicals they work with and other essential information. If your workers might come into contact with controlled substances or hazardous materials — you need this course not only for their safety, but to prove your due diligence as an employer should something happen.
An inspection is a planned walk-through of a workplace or work site designed to help the workplace meet compliance with the law; and more importantly allow for the identification and control of any factors that can cause injury or illness.
Workplace Violence & Harassment
This course will introduce and define terms associated with workplace violence and harassment. Employers will be shown the necessary structure and elements of a Workplace Violence and Harassment program. It will also set out what workers need to understand about how to identify, report on and control undesirable behaviours in the workplace.
