GVCA has been a WSIB Safety Group sponsor for 10 years. We’ve helped hundreds of construction companies create and maintain their own unique health and safety management system, stay compliant and keep their employees safe – all while earning up to 6% of their WSIB premiums in additional rebates.
The GVCA safety group currently has 100 members across 3 Chapters (Cambridge, London and St. Catharines). Our group is successful because we follow a unique structure including: 10 working meetings per year, small group sizes, full program support from Ellaline Davies, Safety Group facilitator (24/7 accident/injury and form 7 assistance, audit preparation, year end binder reviews, 2 hours of private consulting time and Case Management training).
Over the past 5 years $2 million in rebates have been distributed to GVCA Safety Group members and we’ve maintained an average group score of 5.6% out of a possible 6%.
Joining GVCA Safety Group is like adding an extra staff person, for a fraction of the cost!

“The GVCA Safety Group program has increased our health and safety knowledge exponentially! The program allows for a much greater understanding of why policies and procedures are so important for both the worker and for the employer. Ellaline is incredibly thorough and ensures each and every member of the group has a full grasp on each of the topics each year, as well as current issues in the health and safety field.”

“I would like to mention that I feel I have a true partner in the business with regards to safety. We appreciate and welcome all the information we receive from our Safety Group consultant. This is not something we can manage alone. The support my firm has received in dealing with difficult issues recently is invaluable and has given us confidence and knowledge. I feel that the participation in the Safety Group sets us apart from other firms in our industry.”
